Help Pueblo Babies Start Strong: AWHONN Colorado Student Nurses Diaper Drive

Local nursing student Anahí Vasquez is leading a diaper drive with the AWHONN Colorado student nurses to support new families served by the Nurse-Family Partnership, a program that pairs first-time mothers with registered nurses from pregnancy through their child’s second birthday.

Diapers are one of the most constant and costly needs for new parents, and they aren’t covered by programs like SNAP or WIC. For many families, a steady supply of diapers means one less worry during an already demanding season of life.

Every donation is doubled. Huggies is matching donations one-for-one by individual diaper count, so every diaper you give becomes two for a local family.

How to give:

Shop online: Purchase from our Amazon wishlist and items ship directly to the Nurse-Family Partnership: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1IRAXO9P0NWCH?ref_=wl_share

Drop off in person: Bring new, unopened diapers (all sizes) to the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Pueblo

Businesses: Host a donation box or a diaper collection day at your location. Contact Anahí to set it up.

Anahí is a first-year nursing student at Pueblo Community College working toward becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. She is the founder of Pinky’s Packages and Motherhood Truth, and she serves as the Colorado State Fair Fiesta Queen. Her work centers on supporting mothers and closing the health gaps they face.
