Just in time for the holiday season, Black Hills Energy is introducing a new rebate program to help moderate-income families save on energy costs while upgrading their homes.
What’s Offered?
Eligible customers can receive up to 50% back on energy-efficient upgrades, including:
- Appliances: washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and more
- HVAC: heat pumps, A/C units, smart thermostats
- Weatherization: air sealing, duct sealing, insulation
Who Qualifies?
Household income between 81%–150% of area median income (approx. $70K–$123K for two-income households).
Why It Matters
Energy efficiency is one of the most effective ways to lower monthly energy bills and reduce overall energy use. For moderate-income families, these upgrades can sometimes feel out of reach, so this program makes them more affordable. By improving efficiency, customers can save money long-term, increase comfort in their homes, and help reduce environmental impact. It’s a win-win for customers and the community.
