About Us

How did I come to be a health insurance broker? I am a Veteran and served in the US Army for seven years. After being discharged I served as a social worker for 24 years and was also a professor and trainer for the State of Colorado. Service to others means the world to me. A good friend, Pam, for years had suggested that I try out working with her in health insurance. I lovingly and emphatically declined her offer citing that I did not like health insurance or how much I had to pay for mine.

After I retired from social work, I accompanied Pam to Marian House that serves meals to 200-600 people a day. We then went to Mt. Carmel in Colorado Springs that caters to the needs of Veterans. I then decided to became part of Medicare Mentors and was and am amazed at how many seniors, homeless, low-income, and Veterans we help with education and health plans that make their lives truly better. Some of their transformations are amazing! So here I am, helping to promote peoples’ health and well-being!

I believe that community involvement, volunteering and giving back in terms of promoting wellness and the common good. I volunteer with various nonprofits such as Marian House, United Way of Pueblo, Mt Carmel Veterans Service Center and Wellness Centers, Ft Wootton Veterans Service Center, The Enlisted Association (TREA), the American Legion, and the Pueblo Latino Chamber of Commerce. And I am always looking for other places where I can make an impact. I believe that everything that I do is about forming relationships.
