About Us
American Gamers Academy is an innovative gaming and youth engagement organization focused on combining competitive esports with physical fitness, teamwork, and community development. Founded with the vision of bringing people together through gaming, the organization was created to challenge the traditional perception of esports by integrating real-world physical activities and leadership-building experiences into competitive gaming events. The academy emphasizes unity, discipline, healthy lifestyles, and creating opportunities for young people interested in technology, gaming, and esports culture.
The organization’s history began with a grassroots effort by its founders, who originally presented the concept to Microsoft at the Easton Mall Microsoft Store in Columbus, Ohio. According to the organization, Microsoft recognized the concept as one of the most advanced gaming competition ideas in the city and became an early sponsor. Although the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted sponsorship opportunities and delayed growth plans, the team continued developing the program, refining tournament structures, merchandise, sponsorship outreach, and community engagement efforts. This perseverance helped shape the academy into a mission-driven organization focused on resilience, innovation, and youth empowerment.
American Gamers Academy aims to support technology education programs, create positive alternatives for young people, and unite individuals from diverse backgrounds through shared experiences in gaming and competition
