Membership Coordinator
 
Position Title: Membership Coordinator      
 
Time: Full Time Position (40 Hours/Week) with a limited number of night and weekend activities during the year.
 
Reports to: Office of the President & Chief Executive Officer
 
Overview: Develops a deep understanding of all Chamber programs, partnerships, and city/county/state resources that businesses can link with through their memberships. Master the development of strategies for acquiring and retaining members to ensure growth and success of the organization’s membership program. Provides insight to the development of promotional materials and marketing tools relative to membership programs; develops services for members, including workshops, networking opportunities, business-to-business exchanges, and other value-added benefits. Analyzes membership recruitment and retention levels and produces appropriate reports for the Board of Directors and President/CEO.
 
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (This is a listing of primary duties and responsibilities and is not inclusive of all duties that may be required.)

  • Responsible for the recruitment of new members and developing a strong pipeline to grow the organization
  • Analyzes membership composition and attrition, and develops membership retention plans
  • Maintains accurate membership records
  • Markets members through the Chamber’s marketing channels
  • Prepares membership packets for prospective members
  • Assists with order fulfillment and marketing for the Supporting Pueblo ecommerce platform
  • Helps play a role in securing sponsors for membership events, when appropriate
  • Prepares and distributes weekly electronic newsletter and Chamber communications
  • Responsible for 30/60/90-day membership follow ups
  • Works with the membership committee and serves as a full member of the committee
  • Works with the strategic partners of the Latino Chamber to drive value-added opportunities to the members, as well as explores new strategic partner opportunities for the benefit of Chamber members
  • Assists in the planning, coordination, and on-site facilitation of various Latino Chamber functions, when appropriate
  • Represents the Latino Chamber at community and chamber functions and meetings
  • Provides outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Has a deep passion for the business community of Pueblo and is dedicated to the mission of the Latino Chamber
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Education and Experience:
Preferred Education:
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, mass communications, or a related field

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficient in the use of computers, including all Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and assignments concurrently
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is preferred
 
Other: Must be willing and able to work outside of normal working hours, must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License, and access to a reliable vehicle during working hours and proof of automobile insurance.
 
Compensation: $17.50 Per Hour - $20.75 Per Hour, with a 10% monthly commission for all new membership signups that sign up and pay within a single month
