Job Summary:

The Plumber Apprentice (Mid-Level / Partially Complete Apprenticeship) is a role for a motivated plumber apprentice who is roughly midway through their apprenticeship, continuing to learn plumbing installation techniques and tool usage by working on modular homes at Mytikas Steel’s production facility. The Apprentice will install pipes, fixtures, and appliances, follow plumbing codes, and adhere to safety protocols. Our goal following completion of the apprenticeship is that this individual will be promoted to crew lead.

  • Support the preparation and organization of materials for plumbing installations.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of plumbing tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace to support efficient production.
  • Collaborate with team members to learn plumbing processes and contribute to team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of plumbing tools and equipment, or readiness to continue learning maintenance procedures.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.

  • Ability to lead.
  • Certifications: None required, but certification in Rinnai is highly desired. Registration as an apprentice plumber with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) is mandatory within 30 days of employment (DORA). OSHA safety training is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • On-site at Mytikas Steel’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
  • Fast-paced, collaborative environment with hands-on training and mentorship.
  • Requires adherence to safety standards and use of PPE (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, hard hats).
  • Schedule: Full-Time, with significant overtime opportunities

Career Path:

This role offers a clear pathway to the Mid-Level (Journey) Plumber position upon completion of the required apprenticeship hours (3,400–6,800 hours, as per Colorado DORA) and obtaining a Journeyman license, in addition to a crew lead position.
