DISTRICT LEADERSHIP SEEKING PUBLIC INPUT TO IDENTIFY PRIORITIES
In its ongoing effort to strengthen ties with the community, Pueblo School District 60 (D60) is actively engaging with local groups to gather feedback and generate support for making the district a “destination district” for students at all grade levels.
Recently, Superintendent Dr. Barbara Kimzey hosted a Community Priorities Workshop and has presented to several local organizations, including Rotary 43 and the Pueblo Lions Club, to share the district's vision and goals for the near future.
D60 is committed to providing more opportunities for the public to learn about the current state of the district and offer suggestions on how to improve daily attendance, support students and staff, and attract new students from across the region.
“We are working to make D60 a destination district, and we need the community's help to make this vision a reality,” said Superintendent Kimzey. “It’s important for the community to be involved and understand how they can contribute to the district’s future success.”
As part of this effort, D60 is excited to partner with the Latino Chamber of Commerce for a Town Hall meeting on January 29th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Pueblo East High School in the Commons Area.
The event is open to the public and is free to attend, however registration beforehand is required. The Latino Chamber of Commerce will be handling registrations for the event as well as the submission of questions from the community. The community will have the chance to submit their questions before the event as well as ask live questions during the event.
