With the month of April being designated as Financial Literacy Month, the Latino Chamber is partnering with local banks and credit unions to equip individuals with the proper skills and knowledge to empower their financial literacy. The Latino Chamber will hold a four-part Financial Literacy Seminar Series that will take place every Friday in the month of April from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the Learning Center at the Latino Chamber office.
Part 1 of the series will be presented by Bank of the San Juans. Part 1 will cover:
-the importance of money
-credit scores and the factors that determine a credit score
-the benefits of using a bank/credit union
-how to open a bank account
-how to fill out a check
-ho to fill out a deposit slip
-how to read a bank statement
