About This Event:
Managing employees is about more than assigning tasks and correcting mistakes. Strong managers help their staff understand expectations, develop their skills, solve problems, and recognize how their work contributes to the success of the business.

This interactive class will help business owners and supervisors become more confident and effective managers. Participants will learn how to coach employees through challenges, provide feedback that encourages improvement, and address performance concerns before they become larger problems.

Participants will learn how to:

• Set clear, realistic expectations for employees.
• Recognize the difference between coaching, feedback, and corrective action.
• Provide specific and constructive feedback without creating unnecessary defensiveness.
• Ask questions that help employees develop their own solutions.
• Recognize good work and reinforce positive performance.
• Address recurring mistakes and performance concerns promptly.
• Adapt their management approach to different employees and situations.
• Create simple follow-up plans that encourage accountability.
• Build a workplace culture centered on communication, growth, and trust.
