Join us for our 1st Quarter Membership Luncheon on March 27th featuring presentations from the Colorado Minority Business Office and the Employer Ownership Office as our event sponsors. The Luncheon will be hosted at Nacho’s Restaurant, in the upstairs meeting room, from 11:30am – 1:00pm. We are bringing the beach to our 1st Quarter Luncheon with our Spring Break Beach theme. Break out your best beach attire and join the fun!
During the Luncheon, you will get the chance to hear from representatives from each office, meet the new Latino Chamber members from the quarter, learn about the Latino Chamber’s work during the 1st quarter, enjoy a delicious lunch, and network with business professionals. Here is an overview of what you will learn during the sponsors’ presentations:
Minority Business Office
-Overview of services and support for minority owned businesses
-Grant and funding opportunities available
-Access to business development resources and contacting opportunities
The Minority Business Owner (MBO) works to increase economic opportunity for minority, women, and veteran entrepreneurs across the state. The MBO collaborates with an established network of public, private, and government resources to assist businesses of all types and sizes to establish, expand and strengthen their opportunities locally, nationally, or internationally. The MBO is a division within the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT).
Employee Ownership Office
-Overview of employer-focused programs and initiatives
-Tax credits and financing opportunities available
-Tools and partnerships designed to support business growth and ownership
The Colorado Employee Ownership Office establishes a network of technical support and service providers for businesses considering employee ownership structures. The office brings together partners including employee-owned businesses, attorneys, lawmakers, financial and accounting professionals, rural leaders, and other employee ownership organizations. Employee-owned businesses promote a higher quality of life for employee-owners including higher wages, less turnover, access to better benefits, and job security. Business owners benefit from a more engaged workforce, a guaranteed succession plan, and a way to attract and retain top talent. The Employee Ownership Office is a division within OEDIT.
If you have any questions about the MBO or Employee Ownership Office prior to the Luncheon, please reach out to our President & CEO Noah Commerford at noah@pueblolatinochamber.com. We look forward to welcoming you to our 1st Quarter Membership Luncheon!
