HAHA The Latino Chamber Foundation is excited to host the 19th Annual Joe T. Ulibarri Tostada on Friday, August 16th 2024! This light-hearted event honors a local leader that is mildly insulted, amused, embarrassed, and generally highlighted by friends and acquaintances as they recall old stories, jokes, appearances, and miscues over the years.
This year’s honoree roastee is former City Councilman, ballet instructor, and business owner Larry Atencio. Mr. Atencio will be "roasted" by friends, family, and other leaders while the audience gets a good laugh for a good cause.
Larry's Nutcrackers AKA the Roasters are: Abel Tapia, Mark Carmel, Yolanda Atencio, and George Autobee. Each Roaster will get a chance to roast Larry and then Larry will get a chance to redeem himself and rebuttal the Roasters.
Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00pm which will include complimentary appetizers, a cash bar, and a mariachi performance. The program and dinner will begin at 7:00pm and will last until 9:30pm. The theme of this year’s event is ballet, so be sure to break out your dancing outfits and your bright colors or business casual attire.
