EVRAZ North America is looking for Quality professionals to join our operations start up/commissioning team. The operations start up team will lead the process of setting up various rail mill operational areas. The Commissioning Quality Supervisor role requires a strong technical background as well as experience in quality management systems, developing inspection and testing procedures and training modules for area operations, safety, quality and operational excellence.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Developing operational and quality standard operating procedures
Developing quality control plans for rail mill products complete with reaction plans for non-conformances of process or product
Developing quality control procedures for inspection and testing functions
Developing quality management system and shop floor process audit plans
Developing incoming inspection plans for 3rd party supplied materials/services
Performing factory acceptance testing of supplied equipment or rail mill processes
Translating OEM equipment functionality specifications and other key operating information into standard operating procedures and employee training
Developing training materials for operations and quality personnel
Conducting employee training sessions with operations and quality personnel
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; candidates with an engineering degree preferred
Experience and training in ISO-based quality management systems
Experience with using and performing dimensional inspections on metal products
2-5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment, steel preferred
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience delivering presentations to a variety of audiences
Experience developing and delivering technical training to a wide range of audiences (technical/non-technical; shop-floor/staff roles)
Strong time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
$62,800 - 72,220 per year
