
Guest Speaker: Dr. Eddie Lucero is a CSU-Pueblo Professor of Political Science and Director of the Southern Colorado Center for Politics and Public Affairs. His research interests lie in understanding the barriers that voters face in participating in local elections and how racial/ethnic identities influence the political participation and coordination of voters in local and state politics. After research and analysis of the 2024 General Election, Dr Lucero authored a report on Voter Turnout in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District. In his report he identifies trends and drills down on the voter turnout in Pueblo County and the City of Pueblo.
