DESCRIPTION:The Latino Chamber of Commerce\, in partnership with the Colorado Statewide Equity Office\, presents the Supplier Diversity Program Introduction Workshop.\n\n\n\nThe workshop will be hosted at the Latino Chamber office on Thursday\, June 11th from 11:00am - 12:30pm. In case you cannot attend in person\, there will also be a virtual option to join the workshop via Zoom. The Zoom link is listed below.\n\n\n\nZoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84311870922\n\n\n\nThe Statewide Equity Office is a program within the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration that works to advance equitable practices across the State of Colorado through community engagement\, policy development\, ongoing education\, accessibility initiatives\, and equity in procurement. The office supports state agencies by providing resources\, training\, technical assistance\, and strategic guidance to help create more inclusive systems and services for all Coloradans. The Statewide Equity Office also leads supplier diversity initiatives\, promotes accessibility and accommodations\, and works to strengthen connections between state government and the diverse communities it serves throughout Colorado.\n\n\n\nDuring the workshop the Statewide Equity Office will cover:\n\n-Introduction: of the Supplier Diversity Program\n\n-Procurement at the State of Colorado: benefits of selling to State agencies and institutions of higher education\, and where to find opportunities\n\n-The Colorado Supplier Diversity Directory: businesses can get a free business listing to maximize discovery by buyers (at the State and all over Colorado)\n\n-Free Business Verifications: certified businesses can provide their certifications when completing the directory application to receive business verifications and logos\n\n-State Resources: an overview of the support and technical assistance available through the Statewide Equity Office\n\n\n\nThe workshop presentation will be hosted from 11:00am   12:00pm and from 12:00pm   12:30pm the Statewide Equity Office team will help walk members through the Colorado Supplier Diversity Directory Application. The Colorado Supplier Diversity Directory provides businesses with increased visibility to buyers through free directory listings. Businesses best positioned for listings are businesses that actively sell or intend to sell to state and local governments.
